I never equated stillness with recovery. This is a new perspective, and we are the only ones that can do the work. When our Mom was trying to put some strength training into her day, she would cry and say “I can’t do it” I would push harder and then lift her limbs and try to do it for her..I knew in my heart the only way she would get stronger was to do it herself. So with encouragement and help lifting her limbs, she started to feel she could do it. I bless those that help me by lifting me up and encouraging me that I can learn, I can do it. Sometime the cast, or training wheels give us the confidence to change the perspective to “I can”, and God himself can send someone to lift out limbs and get us started. Sending love, that’s something that I share an abundance of.
This brought up something our Mother used to say, “There by the grace of God go I” Gratitude. With Love.

If you want to return to function, you have to do the hard work of getting there — nobody does that for you.
He didn’t answer by lifting the weight.
He answered by shifting my eyes.
Own the recovery, not the hardship. The restoration, not the tear down.
Stillness isn’t where your life stops — it’s where God does His deepest work.
I believe God has me in that cast now. Humbling myself to fully depend on Him, waiting for Him to lead me meanwhile being a servant!!

That changes everything.
And that place you’re in right now —
that “cast” — it’s not holding you back…
It’s setting you right.
Not punishment… alignment.

You’re being positioned.

A muscle doesn’t grow by looking at the weight sitting on the floor.
