ABOUT G~
A Man Marked by Authority, Time, and Grace
I didn’t set out to write.
I set out to survive.
Over the course of my life, I’ve worn titles.
Business owner. Leader. Husband. Father. Friend.
I’ve built companies. I’ve closed doors. I’ve buried seasons I thought would last forever.
And somewhere along the way, I learned something simple:
You will eventually live under whatever you give authority to.
For much of my early life, I lived under the wrong one.
Achievement. Control. Image. Survival.
It worked — until it didn’t.
The Turning Point
Seventeen years ago, I stopped negotiating with the life that was quietly killing me.
I surrendered.
Not halfway.
Not 99%.
Fully.
And everything shifted.
Not instantly.
Not theatrically.
But steadily.
What had been noise became clarity.
What had been striving became alignment.
What had been orphan thinking became sonship.
I burned the bridge back to who I was —
and stepped forward into who Christ said I am.
Why I Write “Sparks”
Sparks are not sermons.
They are pauses.
They are reflections forged from real life —
from business failures and leadership battles,
from marriage tested and strengthened,
from betrayal, illness, near-death moments, and mercy that defied the math.
God has taken trials, setbacks, and unexpected turns — and used them in ways I never could have orchestrated.
If something in these reflections steadies you, strengthens you, or helps you see your own life more clearly, then they are doing exactly what I pray they will.
Nothing I share is possible apart from Him.
Everything flows through His grace.
My aim is not to hype you.
Not to condemn you.
Not to impress you.
But to invite you.
To pause long enough to ask:
Who governs me?
What authority am I living under?
Is what I’m building sustainable?
What You Can Expect Here
You’ll find reflections on:
Identity
Authority
Time
Marriage
Discretion
Faith lived, not performed
Sometimes quiet.
Sometimes sharp.
Always honest.
If more than one Spark shows up in a week, it probably means I’m being stirred a little more deeply — and sleeping a little less.
A Personal Note
I am a husband to a remarkable woman who steadies my vision.
A father and grandfather.
A retired business owner.
A man who has walked through loss and come out anchored.
I write because I know what it feels like to almost lose yourself.
And I know what it feels like to be found.
If You’re Here
I’m grateful.
Truly.
If something resonates, reach out.
If something challenges you, sit with it.
If something steadies you, carry it.
These Sparks are not about me.
They’re about clarity — and the courage to live under the right authority.
Bless you,
G~
